Nearly 45 years ago, the first food bank opened in Canada. The mission was short-term: help people get through the economic challenge of the time and back on a path to food security.

Fast forward to now, the situation is dire with 18% of Canadians living in a food insecure household.

That’s why I’m committed to furthering my support for Food Banks Canada this year and beyond – over the past few years, we (my readers and I) have raised the roughly $100K in funds to generate over 400,000 meals for Canadians.

Individual contributions of support like we’ve displayed in the past helps to alleviate food insecurity, however, pressing issues continue to persist and I invite you to join me as we together will explore what more we can do to help.

A very special thank you to the Food Banks Canada team for collaborating once again.
