Elena Iacono works at TELUS and supports the advancement of the organization’s industry-leading well-being and mental health strategy to help keep team members well. 

Recognizing that workplace well-being comes down to one thing – how we work with each other – Elena is relentlessly focused and committed to empowering leaders to be considerate, clear, and consistent with their teams because when they are, businesses run better and people can feel and do better in turn.

For close to 20 years, Elena has empowered business leaders to focus on top organizational culture priorities to enable business strategy, design brand aligned employee experiences, build talent attraction and retention campaigns, and advance corporate commitments to creating a mentally healthy workplace environment so team members can be well when at work and ultimately at home.  

Community leadership is critically important to Elena, with a specific focus and deep commitment to helping advance the well-being of all Canadians. In 2023, Elena wrote, produced, and edited a mental health and well-being podcast addressing personal trauma in an empowering way.

Since 2020, Elena has spearheaded a fundraising initiative for Food Banks Canada to address food insecurity in Canada, raising over $100,000 in charitable donations.

Elena holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Communications and accreditations with industry-leading mental health associations including:  Queen’s University, the Mental Health Commission of Canada, the Canadian Mental Health Association, and Excellence Canada.
